In the first day of the holiday I back to my
middle school to see my friends. Ann went with me. I went to her house in the
morning. Last night a friend and I made an appointment to meet at the school
  gate today 12:00. An hour before Ann and I decided to go to a haircut. Just
bangs so we thought it couldn’t take lots of time. But it was wrong. When we
finished the haircut it was 12:07 already. I called my friend who name is Katie
and still waiting for us that she could go into the school. People were still
  working so there were not many cars on the road. When I arrived at school my
classmate were talking with Katie. I was so happy to see them. My best friends
gave me a hug. Ann kept selling cute and said nothing except ‘hi’. The teachers
were not in their office. Their math class is ready to start. Katie and I were
not sure keep waiting our teachers or leave. So Ann and I leaved for SUIS. Her
shoes and cloth are in the locker and we wanted to do our homework in the school
library.


We hadn’t had our lunch so we bought some snacks
in the canteen. When we backed to the locker we met Mr. Ward and Mr.
  Doyle.


Mr. Manno I think you can guess what we were
doing our homework in the library? Of course
not.

After I lost the debate between Janice and I,
  Johnson and I lost the final debate again so I hate debate! Mr. Manno you have
said my voice is too soft so I tried to make louder. But it stills not enough.
Someone told me they could not hear what I said. That is one of the most
important thing I should improve.


But I still learned things from this unit. First
  I know some useful website to find the information, such as the BBC. And there
are some people debates online! It is my first time to know it. Their ideas are
interesting. I also learn how to listening. Listening is very important because
this can show our homage. Another way to show it is looking at other’s eyes. It
is so rude if you talk with others without looking at their eyes. This unit
makes us pay attention to these things.



Another thing I learned from this unit is
  responsibility. When we research the information sometimes everyone found the
  same information, because we search in the same website, like Google and Baidu.
  So we have to redo it. It is a really boring work but we must do it because we
  are in the same group we get the same grade. None of us hope that because of
  ourselves influence the results. That is why we hard
working!


But I still do not like debate at all. It makes
  me feel nervous.

I really hate report cards at all. When I was in
the middle school teacher gave us the report cards after the final exam. We felt
  pressure and tension. That was not a good feeling. Teacher gave us the report
  cards and we took them back home and gave it to our parents. Parents have to
  sign in it. But sometimes we got terrible scores. Our parents did not want to
  sign, they feel angry. So this makes us in trouble. If our parents still do not
  want to sign we just can take it to the school and hand in. not all the
  teachers are friendly so some of them will be very angry as well. This makes a
  very bad influence. So students pretend parents’ signature. That’s really bad.



It was our first time to see U.S high school
report cards so I do not know the detail about it. Actually, I am really wrong
about my report cards. I have not done my best in all of my quiz and text. And
also I have not caught up all my blog yet. This makes me hate report cards
again. Anyway I hope I will have a good
score.

The hobbit is cute but they are too short and I
have said I do not like their lives. So if I can I want to be Gandalf. He is not
a good looking person but I like his magic! I think if I can have a magic it
must be very interesting. He has lots of friends so if I can be him I will play
trick on them. It must be so fun! And another reason is that he is very
  powerful. It is so cool~  :)

It is hard to answer this question because I do
not like dwarves. They have long beard and almost all of them are short and fat.
There are really not cute.


But Mr. Manno you ask this question so I have to
choose my favorite dwarf I’d like to choose Kili. Thorin is his uncle and Fili
is his brother. He is the youngest dwarf in this team. He can be very depend on
other dwarves and Gandalf if there is no Bilbo. I think because of Bilbo he has
to be more independent. Lots of things that others can to for him now he should
do them by himself. But this can make him be stronger. And he did become
stronger. He will not be the burden of this team anymore because he improving
himself. That is the reason that he is my favorite
dwarves.

Well there are lots of differences between the
goblin and elves. The elves love peace and they enjoy living in the valley where
was always sunny. But the goblins are darkness, they are cruel as well. I do not
think the lives of the goblins are full of happiness and laugh. Maybe it is very
difficult for them to keep living and almost every day they would see the blood
and the ugly things. What they like or see will turn into their lyrics. So how
can these guys sing a beautiful song? The things what they do are crazy and the
songs are the same as well. They may think do cruel things are so interesting. I
do not know how they sing this song but I can imagine when they sing what are
  they thing about is kill! Kill! Kill! Kill everyone over here and this will
  make them happy! The tone of the song may help them be more powerful. And also
  this song can make their enemy be scared because of their ugly
voice.


The songs what the elves sing are silly but their
kind-hearted make it pretty. I think when the elves singing all of them are
smiling with cute face. This makes the tone of the song sound nice. Everyone
  like it expect for dwarves. (The dwarves do not like elves so I guess maybe
  they do not like the song as well). The song what they sing make others feel
good mood. Although the tone or the lyrics are silly but it can make others
laugh. How useful it is!


 Anyway the goblin’s song let despair to
come but the elves’ song let wish to
come.

Elrond is one of the elves. He is the king
  (maybe just leader) of all of the elves. I have seen the movie that called
《The Lord Of the Rings》and there is a very important guy in the movie
named Aragorn who was Elrond take care of he. I remember Mr. Manno does not like
the movie but I have to tell you that because of the movie I knew the shape of
the elves’ears. Well I think if there is no Elrond the adventure of the dwarves
Bilbo and Gandalf will never continue. Why? Um… in the chapter 3 we can know
that all of them are so tired and have not enough food. Maybe this kind of thing
is not hard to the dwarves and Gandalf but what about the hobbit? The hobbits
enjoy the peaceful life very much, if they can’t find Elrond to give them a
space for relax and give them food. I think hobbit will give up soon. But it
just my guess, in fact they find Elrond and make adequate preparation. And there is
another point about him is that he told them there are some special words on the
map. Gandalf and dwarves couldn’t find the words by
themselves.


Actually Elrond is very important in
《The Lord Of the Rings》 but I have not finish the reading of
whole 《The Hobbits》 so it is hard to say why Elrond is important
or special in the story.
